Up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for the murder of Carrie Nelson.

CASE SOLVED

Carrie Nelson, a 20 year old park employee, was murdered on May 20, 2001 at Blue Mound State Park located in Luverne, Minnesota. her body was found by park management at 2:45 p.m. An autopsy determined that Nelson, a 1999 graduate of Luverne High School, died as a result of multi-traumatic injuries to the head due to assult. Authorities said there was no evidence of sexual assault and that robbery was a possible motive.

A greenish colored "Field Ranger" digital watch was found at the crime scene. Investigators have also been looking for two grey bank money bags carryin the logo of Minnwest Bank, both believed to have been taken from the park office at the time of Nelson's murder. In addition, investigators are seeking information on full-zise white car that was seen speeding away from the park between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. that day.

Please bring closure to the family and friends of Carrie Nelson, and bring her killer to justice.
